The Psychological Part of Politics

Sine the 2020 election, there has been a lot of confusion and chaos among the American people. President Trump and his supporters has the delusion that the election is not over. A Million Maga March for Trump was reported to happen in Washington DC, but it turns out that only 5,000 people attended the march. He has used the emotions of his followers to take to the internet to spread false allegations of voter fraud in hope that he could overturn the election in his favor. In another desperate attempt, President Trump filed lawsuits against Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Arizona claiming voter fraud. The lawsuits were dropped because there was no proof that voter fraud even took place. The Philadelphia federal appeals court rejected the republicans attempt to toss out 9,300 mail-in ballots.

Today President Trump briefly admits that Joe Biden won the presidency, but he said he won’t concede because the election was rigged. What Trump speaks has truth to it, but it’s far from what the people continue to think. All the presidential elections are determined by the electoral college and not the people, but people do not want to accept that fact. This is what makes the psychological part of voting dangerous. Peter Navarro, White House trade advisor, said that the White House is operating like President Trump will have a second term, ignoring the reality of the 2020 election results. From the beginning Trump made people think that he was a victim, and they were willing to do anything to protect him, from the people in his administration that covered for him, the media that lied for him, even down to groups like the proud boys, that made threats of going to war for him if he lost the election. The media is one of the biggest reasons that most of the American people are misinformed about a lot of things concerning their true freedom and safety. The words, “There is division in the country” is brought up often in the media as if this is a true fact or it’s something that’s just started happening in the last past 8 years. The division in this country are the two parties (Republican and Democrat) that are getting people to choose sides. So, the question is, why are the people fighting within its own government. The reality is that America was built on division and racism.
